m-Care360 is a maternal health platform serving mothers and families across Tanzania. We understand that your health information is deeply personal. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your information. By using m-Care360, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
This policy applies to all services provided by m-Care360, including our WhatsApp AI assistant, web platform, and healthcare provider coordination services.
When you register with m-Care360, we collect your full name, phone number (WhatsApp), email address, date of birth, and pregnancy or postpartum stage. This information is necessary to provide you with personalized maternal health support.
We collect health-related data including your expected due date, baby's birth date, blood type, clinic name, and any high-risk pregnancy flags. This data is used solely to tailor our health guidance to your specific needs.
We store messages exchanged with our AI assistant and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and to improve our services. All conversations are encrypted and stored securely.
Your information enables us to provide stage-appropriate health tips, reminders for antenatal care visits, vaccination schedules, and nutrition guidance aligned with Tanzania Ministry of Health guidelines.
We use your contact information and health data to facilitate rapid escalation to qualified healthcare providers (midwives, doctors, nurses) when danger signs are detected.
We send WhatsApp reminders for upcoming appointments, vaccinations, and check-ups based on your pregnancy stage and the schedule you set with your healthcare provider.
All personal and health data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption. Your WhatsApp conversations are protected by end-to-end encryption provided by Meta.
Only authorized healthcare providers assigned to your care and our system administrators have access to your health data. All access is logged and audited regularly.
Your data is stored on secure servers. We comply with applicable Tanzanian data protection regulations and international best practices for healthcare data management.
We share relevant health information with midwives, doctors, and nurses within the m-Care360 network only when necessary for your care — for example, during escalations or consultations.
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal or health information to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Your data belongs to you.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the safety of our users and the public.
You have the right to access all personal information we hold about you and request corrections to any inaccurate data at any time by contacting our support team.
You may request a copy of your health data in a portable format (JSON or PDF) to share with other healthcare providers or for your own records.
You may withdraw consent for data processing at any time. Note that this may affect our ability to provide certain services. Contact us to discuss your options.
We retain your health records for a minimum of 5 years after the completion of your postpartum period, in compliance with Tanzania Ministry of Health medical records guidelines.
You may request full deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
Our web platform uses essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We may use anonymized analytics to understand how users interact with our platform in order to improve the service. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some functionality. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
m-Care360 is designed for mothers and expectant mothers aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to remove that information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes via WhatsApp message or email, and post the updated policy on our website. Your continued use of m-Care360 after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
